Frederick J. Garmont, 84, of Parsippany, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2020.

Born in East Harlem, Fred also resided in Staten Island before moving to Newark, New Jersey and eventually settling in Parsippany.  He was a dedicated employee of American Airlines at Newark Liberty International Airport for nearly four decades.  He is fondly remembered for his ever-present cigar and inexhaustible sense of humor.

Devoted father of Glenn R. Garmont, Gary J. Garmont and his wife Diana.  Cherished grandfather of Zachary & Mackenzie Garmont.  He is predeceased by his wife Joan (Wyatt) Garmont, parents Cedrick & Rose Garmont, and brothers Edward & Richard Garmont.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, please check back for information.

He was passionate about many charitable causes, particularly organizations that provide support to military veterans. Donations can be made in Frederick's name to the Disabled Veterans National Foundation.
