Edward Joseph
Du Boyce
d. Nov 28, 2019
Edward Joseph Du Boyce passed away peacefully in Apopka, Florida on November 28, 2019.
An Air Force veteran, Edward's life was brightened daily by talking, learning and most memorably dancing with those he was grateful to call family and friends. He and his late wife, Grace Du Boyce, resided in Florham Park and frequently lit up the dance floor. Ed was active in the Elks and was the Exalted Ruler from 1995-1996. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and Freemasons.
Following his retirement from Automatic Switch Company he filled his days with activities that brought him joy. Ed volunteered at the local jail teaching prisoners who wanted to learn to read and write. He also taught English as a second language (ESOL). He discovered a love of teaching and became certified as a substitute teacher and worked at nearby schools. He also loved dining out with friends, acting in local Opera productions and, no matter what, always taking the scenic route.
Devoted father of Jacqueline Welker, Karen Du Boyce, Bridget Alfaro and Edward Du Boyce. Cherished grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Edward is also survived by his sister Mary Coelho and many loving nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his first wife Concetta Scharlat. Edward will be greatly missed but will live in our hearts always.
