Dolores E. Lynch, 95, of East Hanover, passed away peacefully at home on July 15, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
Dolores had a full life which began with secretarial school after Irvington high school graduation in 1947. Among the positions she held were Electrolux, The Berkeley School, East Hanover Recreation Commission. She took early retirement to be a caregiver to her parents and later took a desk clerk position at the East Hanover library where she worked for 17 years, fully retiring in 2020.
As a devoted Saint Rose of Lima parishioner Dolores was a Rosarian and volunteer at the Saint Rose food pantry. Her spiritual and religious life were at the center of her loving spirit which was endearing to all. Her hobbies included sewing and crocheting, reading, ancestry research, swimming and most prominent was her love for baking - cookies, pies, fancy birthday cakes, Irish soda bread, pizza and more. She loved to sing fun songs with the little ones who went along with her, loving her sweet voice. Talking on the phone and staying connected with relatives who affectionately called her "toots" in her younger years was one of her favorite pastimes along with sharing stories with her family and friends.
Dolores was a dear sister of Patricia Krezel. Devoted aunt of Carol, Marilyn, Bill, Donald, Jack, Jim, Patrick, Leroy, Christopher, Ellen, Eileen, Karen, Pat, Rainie, Norman, Maureen, Stan, Ken, Anne, Janet and Tom. She was a Loving great aunt of 30: Brittany, Sarah, Robert, Christopher Jr., John, Robert, Michael, Jessica, Kelly, Dawn, Lynn, Alicia, Jared, Jason, Patrick, Makaria, Thekla, Irene, Nadia, Dorothea, Viktor, Walter, Raymond, Rose, Audrey, Helena, Layne, Walker, Thomas and Nicholas. Proud great-great aunt of 10: August, Rory, Annabelle, Madison, Eneko, Leo, Greyson, Gregory, Kinsley, and Scarlet. Dolores is also survived by many wonderful friends who she cherished as a big part of her life. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Dolores was pre-deceased by her parents William and Mary, her siblings William, Helen, Leroy, Bernice and Lorraine, a niece Mary Ann, and a great niece Rachel.
The visitation will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church, 312 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ on Monday, July 20th, from 10:30am – 1130am, immediately follow by the funeral mass at 11:30am. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
