Angela Pantano (née D'Alessio), 50, of Verona, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2023, surrounded by her loving family, after a long and courageous battle against cancer, which lasted more than 14 years. Raised in Union, New Jersey, Angela moved to Mountainside and is a 1990 graduate of Jonathan Dayton High School, located in Springfield, New Jersey. Angela is a 1994 graduate of Seton Hall University. Upon graduation, Angela worked for State Farm Insurance Company where she embarked on a 28-year career, which only recently concluded in April of this year. Angela loved her work and had many other interests. She loved to garden, read, decorate and antique, but mostly she loved spending time with her children, family and her legion of friends. Angela is an inspiration to everyone that knew her and she will be sorely missed.
Beloved wife of Anthony Pantano. Devoted mother of Luigi and Francesca. Angela is predeceased by her father, Anthony D'Alessio. Loving daughter of her mother, Bianca D'Alessio. Dear sister of Lisa Teixeira and her husband Manny. Cherished sister-in-law of Lisa and Domenick Cuccio. Doting aunt of Anthony and Mikaela Teixeira and Stephanie and Angela Cuccio. She is also survived by her dog "Fitz" (with whom she had a love/hate relationship) and her many lifelong friends.
Visitation will be at Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Ave., Florham Park, New Jersey on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm. The Funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 8:45 am, followed by the funeral mass at Our Lady of Lake in Verona at 10 am. Entombment will be at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Angela's name may be made to: The Kefalas-Pinto Foundation, c/o Desiree Anderson, President of Association Consultants, 2525 S. Croatan Highway, Suite 1C, Nags Head, NC 27959, a foundation dedicated to the memory of Doris Kefalas-Pinto, a dear friend of the Pantano family, who ultimately lost her own battle against cancer.
