Allan Michael Surdi, 54, of Union, passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 26, 2022.

Allan was raised in the Vailsburg section of Newark, NJ. He attended Colombia High School and was in the graduating class of 1985. Allan went on to be a successful DJ with an extraordinary love for music. He was musically inclined and often played the bass guitar. He was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins football team and New York Yankees. He enjoyed watching sports in his free time. Allan was extremely passionate about collecting sports memorabilia, trading cards, and musical instruments. He cherished spending time with family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Allan is survived by his son, Michael A. Greco; mother, Mary Ann Castro and her husband Manuel; and two siblings, Peter C. Surdi and his wife Carol, and Michelle Polo. He is also survived by his nieces Brianna, Gina, and Emily and nephew Matthew. Allan leaves behind his lifelong companion Virginia "Ginger" Greco, his step-brother Steven Castro, his dog Bella, and a host of cousins and friends. Allan is predeceased by his father Peter P. Surdi.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Ave., Florham Park on Tuesday, February 1st from 4-8pm. Funeral on Wednesday assembling at the funeral home at 10 am, followed by a prayer service at the funeral home at 11am.  Internment at Rosedale Cemetery in Orange, NJ.
