Adalgisa "Adele" DiMatteo, 66, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Adele was a longtime resident of East Hanover before later making her home in Madison. She will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering devotion to her family, and the love she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Adele was the devoted mother of Austin DiMatteo, his wife Madison, Alex DiMatteo and his wife Donna. She was the cherished Nonna of Macie, Dean, Orson, Lucera and Giada, who brought immense joy and pride to her life. She was the dear sister of Lisa, Michael, and her late brothers, Vinnie and Gino. Adele was also a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved parents Gilda and Americo Matinata.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial visitation at Leonardis Memorial Home, 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park, on Monday, August 10, 2026 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM. The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 9:30AM at St. Vincent's Church in Madison. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover.
Adele's warmth, generosity, and unconditional love for her family will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
