Nancy Regna Obituary

Nancy Regna, 65, of Ridgefield Park, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2019 after and courageous journey with breast cancer.  Nancy fought every day with a smile, joy, and love for life and her family. Nancy touched many lives, including family, friends, her students, and her sweet companions Pavie, Littles, and Louie. Nancy retired after many years as a Special Education Teacher with the North Bergen Board of Education.  Through her role as a teacher, she not only taught her students but she was a role model for her daughters on how to live a compassionate, mindful life and to see the best in others and help those in need. In one of her last words of wisdom, Nancy reminded her daughters that “life is silliness and happiness...don’t overthink it.”  True to her spirit, she was silly and happy until her passing.

Devoted mother of Katie Pohlmeyer, her husband Jeffrey, Kimberly Miller and her husband Chase.  Cherished grandmother of Connor and Nora Pohlmeyer and Jack Miller. Loving daughter of Maryann Pankewicz and the late George Pankewicz.  Dear sister of Mark Pankewicz and Tim Pankewicz.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Leonardis Memorial Home 210 Ridgedale Ave. Florham Park on Saturday, June 1st from 1-5pm including a prayer service at 4:30pm.
