Michael A. Pallante, 85, of East Hanover, formerly of Newark, passed away peacefully at his home on December 1, 2018. Michael was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He attended Seton Hall Prepatory School where he was a High School athlete and played football, a graduate of Montclair State University and received his doctorate at Rutgers University. Michael worked as an educator at Barringer High School in Newark for many years and worked for the National Institute of Health & CDC on disease prevention during the summer.
Beloved husband of Mary R. Pallante (Bradbury). Devoted father of Michael C. Pallante, his wife Tracey, Paul Pallante, his wife Frances, and James Pallante. Loving grandfather of Michael, Jessica and Nicole. (He was very proud that his grandson attended Seton Hall Prep and played football, following in his footsteps) He was the last surviving of 4 brothers. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews whom he held close to his heart.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home 210 Ridgedale Ave. Florham Park on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral on Friday assembling at 8:45am followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 9:45am. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
