Mary Bertolo

Mary Bertolo, 94, of East Hanover, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on August 22, 2019.

Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them." Ephesians 4:2:

Kindness coupled with wisdom ; love grounded in reason; loyalty to family friends animals and truth- one look in Mary’s eyes and we all felt an intimate connection.

Mary Theresa Accardi Bertolo was born on October 20th, 1924 in Newark, NJ. She was the daughter of Rose & Joseph Accardi.

Mary was the perfect matriarch. She spent most of her life loving and nurturing all who came to her. She was there to calm everyone’s fears. Mary was loved and admired by all who shared in her unique life. She was the strongest women even until the very end.

She leaves behind her husband Anthony and their dog Bella. Married 73 years they built a beautiful close knit family. The pride she felt for her children, Joanne, Donna, Doreen and Phil was palpable. The loss of her grandson Chad devastated her and deepened her faith. Her other grandchildren, Tara, Michelle, Brian and Jenny were blessed with their grandmothers undying love and devotion. Mary’s great grandchildren Trent, Tristan, David, Harrison, Emilie, Victoria, Alaina, Brezlyn, Reese, Gabrielle were her pride and joy.

May she Rest In Peace and feel our undying love everyday as we feel hers with us always.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, 210 Ridgedale Ave., Florham Park on Friday, August 23rd from 4-8pm.  Funeral on Saturday, August 24th assembling at 8:45am followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 9:45am.  Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
