Marie Villani

Marie May Villani (nee Parrillo), 93, of Florham Park, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 2nd, in the beauty of the newly fallen snow, her favorite. 

Beloved wife of 69 years to Prisco Villani.  Loving mother to Anthony, Prisco, Jr., his wife Marie Elaina, Barbara Santoro, her husband Joe, Tom Villani and his wife Toni.  Cherished grandmother of Connie Weakland, her husband Jim, PJ, his wife Adrienne, Thomas, his wife Dottie, Gabe, his wife Liz, Michael, his wife Krystina, Michael, Matthew, his partner Santino, Victoria Marcks, her husband Lee, Vincent, and Thomas. Great-grandmother (Gigi-Ma) to James, Michael, Liana, PJ, Elaina, Thomas, Alexa, Christian, Gianna, Cora Leigh, Nicholas, Benjamin, Michael, and Morgan.  Sister of Frank Parrillo, his wife Marion.  Aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Pre-deceased by her parents, Anthony and Catherine Parrillo, and her eight other siblings. 

Marie grew up “down neck” in the iron bound section of Newark.  She married in 1950, moved to Short Hills in 1962, and then to Florham Park in 1990.  She worked at Western Electric supporting their clerical staff as an administrative assistant for many years before retiring to raise her family. 

Marie will be greatly missed and remembered for her sense of humor, amazing cooking, and her “tasteful” jokes.  She was an avid Yankees fan and loved to test her luck on the slot machines.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Wednesday, December 4th from 2-4 & 7-9.  Funeral on Thursday, December 5th assembling at the funeral home at 10am followed by the funeral mass at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in East Hanover at 11am.  Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
