Maria Infante

Maria Infante, 95, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2019.

Maria was born April 23, 1923 in Gioi, Italy and moved to the United States in 1958, residing in Orange, West Orange, and later Whippany, New Jersey. She was a devout Catholic, proud local business owner, and member of the UFCW Local 464A.

Maria will be remembered as selfless, caring and kind; for her sense of humor and always praying for her family. She could always be found taking long walks with a rosary in hand and chatting with whomever she passed, sitting down for a cup of coffee, and insisting to pay for lunch.

Maria was the beloved wife of the late Pasquale Infante. A devoted mother, she is survived by her four daughters, Antoniette Santangelo, her husband Antonio, Degnamerita Abate, her husband Antonio, Elena Padula, her husband Geremia, and Lucia Garcia and her husband Gustavo. She was known as Nonnina and a cherished grandmother of Franco, Pasquale, Antonio, Nicole, Alexandra, Michael, Marlena, and Maria. Dear great-grandmother of Grace, Nicholas, Anthony, Giuliana, Marcello, Cristiano, and Marabella.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home 210 Ridgedale Ave. Florham Park on Tuesday from 4-8  pm.  Funeral on Wednesday assembling at 9 am followed by a Mass at Holy Family Church in Florham Park at 10 am. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
