Luke A. Percario, Sr., 88, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2019. Luke was born in Italy and migrated to Summit, NJ when he was 2 ½ years old where he was raised. He was a resident of Short Hills, NJ for 57 years and also resided in West Point Island, Lavallette. He is a US Army Veteran and attended Rutgers University in Newark where he earned his B.A in 1953 and Masters in Business in 1960. Luke worked many years with Prudential in Newark and Ethicon in Bridgewater, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Data Processing Management Association and the Life Office Management Association. Luke enjoyed golfing, gardening and family gatherings at the Jersey Shore.
Beloved husband of 61 years to Mary (DeFabrizio) Percario. Devoted father of Laurene Stanton, her husband James, Luke A. Percario, Jr and his wife Sandra. Loving grandfather of John and Michelle Stanton, Christina and Luke, III “Trey” Percario. Luke was the last surviving of 6 brothers.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, 210 Ridgedale Ave., Florham Park on Wednesday from 4-8pm. Funeral on Thursday assembling at the funeral home at 10am followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in Short Hills at 11:15am. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
