Luigi "Gino" Godino Obituary

Luigi “Gino” Godino, 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 2, 2018. 

Gino was born on July 11, 1937 in San Demetrio Corone Cosenza, Italy to the late Maria Rosa Castrovillari and Giuseppe Antonio Godino.  Gino emigrated to the United States in 1981 and resided with his sister Teresa Santomo and her husband Mario in Livingston and East Hanover before moving to Toms River in 2006.

Gino is survived by his siblings Teresa Santomo, her husband Mario, his brother Demetrio Godino, his wife Perla, sister-in-law Teresa, his 2 aunts and many cousins and dear friends.  Gino is pre-deceased by sisters Angiolina, Bombina and Nicolina, by his brother Damiano, his brother in laws Giuseppe Piluso, Salvatore Esposito and Angelo Campanaro.  He was the dear uncle to his many loving nieces and nephews in Italy and Argentina who will miss him very much.

A visitation will be held at the Leonardis Memorial Home 210 Ridgedale Ave. Florham Park on Friday from 10am – 12pm followed by the interment at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
