Lucia DiStasio (Nee: Manganelli), 87, of Orange, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2019.
Lucia was born and raised in Alberona, Italy where she met her husband of 66 years, Francesco. They married on December 22, 1952 and started a family before coming to Orange, NJ in 1972. Lucia was a talented seamstress for many years before her retirement. She loved making homemade pasta, hosting holidays and she lived for her family. Lucia will be remembered as a devoted & loving mother, grandmother & great grandmother.
She is survived by her son Donato and his wife Gerardina, her daughter Pina and her husband Nicola; five grandchildren, Lucia Buscio and her husband JohnPaul, Angela Zirpolo and her husband Gabriel, Francesco DiStasio and his wife Michelle, Lucia Pitti and her husband Daniele, Angela DiStasio and her fiancé Salvatore; and six great-grandchildren, Francesca, Gabriella, Donato, Joey, JohnPaul and Arabella.
She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews & friends. She is pre-deceased by her husband Francesco and her brother Felice Manganelli.
Lucia will be missed tremendously but we know she is at peace and reunited with the love of her life.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home 210 Ridgedale Ave. Florham Park on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral on Tuesday assembling at 8:45am followed by a Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 9:45am. Entombment at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union.
