Kostas “Gus” Diamandas, 89, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2018. Gus was born in New York and raised in Newark before residing 59 years in East Hanover. He served in the Army Air Corp as an Airplane Engine Mechanic during WWII and retired after many years of working as a Purchasing Manager at Lockheed Martin. Gus was a life-long member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, long term GOYA Advisor and member of the American Legion Post 440.
Beloved husband of 64 years to Mary Diamandas (Faraklas). Devoted father of Debra Jessop, Jean Diamandas and Nick Diamandas. Loving grandfather of 4 grandchildren. Dear brother of Steve Diamandas.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home 210 Ridgedale Ave. Florham Park on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, 11:30am at Ss. Nicholas, Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Roseland. Entombment at follow at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover.
