John Sgroi “Gooba”, 52, of Chatham and Green Island, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2017.  John was the Owner/Operator of Economy Service, LLC in Bernardsville.  He was a member of the North Star Club in Madison, loved his boat and enjoy fishing. 

Beloved husband of Ida R. Sgroi (Ardolino).  Devoted father of Phil Sgroi, his wife Christina, and Joe Sgroi.  Dear brother of Maria Sgroi, Joseph Sgroi, his wife Terry, and cousinss John and Joey Cataldo.  Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. 

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home 210 Ridgedale Ave. Florham Park on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm.  Funeral on Saturday assembling at 9am followed by a mass at Corpus Christi Church in Chatham at 10am.  Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
