John “Dessie” Brennan, 89, passed away peacefully at home on July 9, 2017.  Dessie was born and raised in Ireland and resided in East Hanover for the past 49 years.  He was a US Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict and worked as a District Engineer for the NJ Department of Transportation.  Dessie was a member and former Grand Knight of the East Hanover Knights of Columbus Council 6504.

Beloved husband of 62 years to Ann M. Brennan (Mulvihill).  Devoted father of Daniel Brennan, his wife Corine; Deborah Edson, her husband Larry; Colleen Brennan; Karen Matthys and her husband Ken.  Loving grandfather of Christa, Katelyn and Jonathan; Kayleigh and Miles; Brendan, Sean and Meghan.  Dear brother of Maeve McDonough and the late Brendan, Vincent and Aidan Brennan. 

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home 210 Ridgedale Ave. Florham Park on Thursday from 2-4pm & 7-9pm.  Funeral on Friday assembling at 9:45am followed by a mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 10:45am.  Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
