John “Jay” Antonellis, 62, of Denville, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on July 7, 2019. John was a corporal in the US Army attached to the 11th Special Forces as an intelligence analyst. He graduated from Chico State University in California with a Bachelor’s degree. John retired after a long career as a Municipal Bond Trader. During retirement, he enjoyed giving his time serving as a trustee for the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Foundation.
He was the beloved husband of Amy Antonellis and the loving brother of Toni Antonellis and Darcy Antonellis. He is pre-deceased by his parents Connie and Daniel Antonellis.
A memorial visitation will be held at the Leonardis Memorial Home, 210 Ridgedale Ave., Florham Park on Wednesday, July 10th from 4-8pm, including a brief service at 6pm. On Thursday, July 11th, family and friends are welcome to celebrate John’s life at his home in Denville from 3pm-7pm. The address is 37 E Shore Road, Denville NJ.
