This is a sad but yet a joyful day to celebrate the almost 93 years that Harriette Litchfield (AKA Jan Lawrence) loved, sang, danced, directed, acted and choreographed her way through life. She was and will continue to be an inspiration to many, a friend to all and a woman who mostly did it her way!!! She was the kind of friend that even if you didn’t see her often, you would pick up right where you left off when you did see her again!
She embraced her friends as her extended families and prayed for over 220 people every day at their request and continued to mention them and their families even after they’d passed away. What a great reunion they are all having now!!
She is a very special lady as you all well have experienced. We are all better people for knowing her and having her bless our lives with her knowledge, (163 IQ BTW), wit and wisdom. In lieu of a memorial service or funeral, if you all could please just say a prayer for her safe passage as the curtain falls on this existence and the credits roll on to the next role on her journey ... that is what she would want. She wanted me to thank you all for being an integral part of her life! On behalf of her large extended family that she loves... we know her love will continue for us all and she wouldn’t say goodbye ...but see you again!!
Mom, you took a few curtain calls over the past few weeks but you are on your way to the next role in the ensemble in heaven. God is the director as always...and has cast you in this new role. I know you will embrace it and make us proud! You will be greatly missed here but felt everyday. I am so happy I chose you to be my mom!! Until we meet again!
