Giovannina (Peluso) Guarente

Giovannina “Gina” Guarente (Peluso), 82, of West Orange, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 19, 2018.  Gina was born and raised in Avellino, Italy.  She was a proud homemaker and worked at Andrea’s Food in Orange before becoming a school crossing guard in West Orange.  She loved to cook and entertain.  Her family was her greatest joy.

Beloved wife of 58 years to the late Gerardo Guarente.  Devoted mother of Carlo Guarente, Robert Guarente, his wife Susan, Ida Passaro and her husband Christopher.  Cherished grandmother of Nicholas, Christian, Brielle, Sophia and Emma.  Dear sister of Tony Peluso, Gilda Guarente, the late Angelo Peluso and the late Vincent Peluso.  Loving daughter of the lates Marino & Adele Peluso.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home 210 Ridgedale Ave. Florham Park on Monday from 4-8pm.  Funeral on Tuesday assembling at 10am followed by a mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 11:15am.  Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
