George "Skinner" M. Elias

George “Skinner” M. Elias, 85, of Belleville for 15 years and formerly Parsippany for 34 years, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2018.  George worked as a postal clerk in Boonton and prior he was a Newark Police Officer. He was an Army Veteran serving in Korea. George was also a member of the American Legion Post 299 in Belleville.                                                                                                 

Beloved husband of the late Gloria (Covello). Devoted father of Patti Wilson and Debbie Elias.  Cherished grandfather of Sydney and Jenna Wilson.  Dear brother of Helen Harrington and the lates Michael Elias and Margaret Takacs.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home 210 Ridgedale Ave. Florham Park on Tuesday from 4-8pm.  Funeral on Wednesday assembling at 10 am followed by a mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 11 am.  Interment  at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
