Florence I (Irmiere) Vanacore

Florence I. Vanacore (Irmiere), of East Hanover and formerly of Paterson, passed away peacefully at her home on February 28, 2019.  Florence was a beloved educator in the East Hanover School System for many years.  She was a member of the Secular Franciscan Order, Porziuncola Fraternity for 26 years, the St. Rose of Lima Rosary Society, and on the Board of the East Hanover Public Library. 

Beloved wife of the late Salvatore Vanacore.  Devoted mother of Jane Dixon and her husband John.  Cherished grandmother of Christina and Tyler.  She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and her caregiver and friend Melody Pierre.  Florence was the last surviving of 4 siblings. 

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home 210 Ridgedale Ave. Florham Park on Sunday from 1-5pm.  Funeral on Monday assembling at 8:45am followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 9:45am.  Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
