David de la Motte Obituary

David D. de la Motte, 81, of East Hanover, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on July 13, 2019.

Dave was born in Irvington and grew up in Nutley, graduating Nutley High School in 1955.  He started banking as a teller in Orange and worked his way up to Assistant Vice President of Hudson City Savings Bank.  He served in the Army National Guard as a tank driver during the time of the Cuban Missle Crisis.  In retirement, Dave enjoyed traveling with the love of his life, Marge, and spending time with his family and friends, spending winter months in Sarasota, Florida.  

Beloved husband of 59 years to Marjorie.  Devoted father of David, Steve, his wife Susan, Robert and his wife Tricia.  Cherished grandfather of Jennifer and Tyler, Christina and Jillian.  Dear brother of Valerie Boulter.  Pre-deceased by his parents Pierre and Beatrice and his brother Raymond.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home 210 Ridgedale Ave. Florham Park on Wednesday from 5-8pm.  Funeral on Thursday assembling at 10am followed by the committal service at Restland Memorial Park Chapel in East Hanover at 11am.
