Dario Marcelli, Sr.

Dario Marcelli, Sr., 91, passed away peacefully at his home in East Hanover surrounded by his loving family on September 3, 2019.  Dario was born and raised in Sant’Angelo in Pontano, Italy and was a long-time resident of East Hanover, NJ, where he owned Marcelli Construction Company for many years. 

Beloved husband of Antonietta (DeFina) Marcelli.  Devoted father of Grace Rooney, her husband Tom, Dario Marcelli, Jr., and his wife Antoinette.  Cherished grandfather of Tommy and Michael Rooney, Dario, Daniella and Deanna Marcelli.  He was also survived by 2 siblings. 

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home 210 Ridgedale Ave. Florham Park on Wednesday from 4-8pm.  Funeral on Thursday assembling at the funeral home at 8:45am followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 9:45am.  Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  In lieu of flower, donations can be made to your favorite charity.
