Charles William Zulauf Jr. / May 15, 1924 - July 19, 2018
Charles “Red” Zulauf, 94, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2018 in New Port Richey Florida. Charlie was born, raised, and lived most of his life in Secaucus, NJ before retiring to New Port Richey in 1997. Charlie was a WWII Navy veteran who served aboard the U.S.S. Terror, worked as a fleet mine layer and then was a long-time truck driver for the teamsters union. He was a member of the Secaucus Moose Club, long-time member of the Kiwanis in Secaucus and New Port Richey, and a long-time usher at Immaculate Conception Church in Secaucus.
Beloved husband of Doris (Renz) Zulauf. Father of Frank, his wife Arlene, Charley, his wife Ann, Craig and the late John Zulauf.
Grandfather of three and Great-Grandfather of four. Brother of Helen. He is predeceased by his parents, Charles William Sr. and Anna (Ludwig) Zulauf, along with his brothers Henry and Bobby.
A memorial visitation will be held at the Leonardis Memorial Home 210 Ridgedale Ave. Florham Park on Thursday, August 23rd from 3-7pm, including a prayer service at 6:30pm. Burial will take place on Friday, August 24th at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington at 10am.
