Anthony Bertolo, age 96 passed away peacefully in his home of 61 years in East Hanover,NJ. Anthony Philip Bertolo was born to Philip and Josephine Bertolo in Newark NJ on July 29, 1923. 73 years ago he married the love of his life Mary Accardi who passed away only 5 weeks ago. Their love was so strong he could not bear to live without her.
He leaves behind his 4 children, Joanne, Donna, Doreen and Phil. He lost his Grandson Chad 17 years ago and never stopped talking about him. His other grandchildren Michelle, Tara, Brian,and Jenny were his pride and joy along with his 10 great grandchildren Trent, Tristan, David, Harrison, Emilie, Victoria, Alaina, Brezlyn, Reese, and Gabrielle
Tony was a proud World War 2 veteran. He loved antique cars, old movies and old coins. He was an excellent carpenter, even helping to build the home his children grew up in. His laugh was infectious. Generous at heart, he loved to connect to all kinds of people. He had a funny line for everyone he met. His family was everything to him, always encouraging everyone to be a movie star.
May he Rest In Peace and be united with his “sweetheart” and the rest of his family who have crossed over.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, 210 Ridgedale Ave., Florham Park on Saturday from 9am-11am followed by a prayer service at the funeral home at 11am. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
