Angela Biunno

Angela Biunno (nee Bibbo), 96, of Whippany, formerly of Newark, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 11, 2020. 

Born and raised in Newark, N.J. Angela was the only child of Filomena and Nicholas Bibbo. She was a supervisor at RCA in Harrison where she met the love of her life and future husband Angelo.  She later was a bookkeeper at Fidelity Union Bank in Newark. Angela was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Whippany, and was a member of the St. Mary’s Guild. Her faith was an integral part of her life.  She would regularly watch mass on television when she could no longer attend church and was fortunate to receive communion every Sunday. 

Angela loved her home and family. In times past, she was an avid reader and enjoyed walking.  She especially enjoyed celebrating holiday traditions with her family and visits from her grandchildren of whom she was so proud.  

Angela is predeceased by her beloved husband, Angelo, and her loving parents.  She was the devoted mother of Annette Putts and her husband, Robert, Phyllis Stec and her husband, Stanley, and Nicholas Biunno and his wife, Margaret.  She was the cherished grandmother of Matthew, Christina, Joseph, Michael, Nicole and Nicholas. She was the loving aunt of several nieces and nephews. Angela will be deeply missed.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, 210 Ridgedale Ave., Florham Park, N.J., on Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral on Wednesday assembling at 9am followed by the funeral mass at Our Lady of Mercy Chapel in Whippany at 10am.  Entombment at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union, N.J.
