Albert “Doc” Branca, 90, formerly of Orange, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 21, 2020. Doc served in the US Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict and was the Head Custodian with the Glen Ridge Board of Education form many years before retiring. He was a member of the Florham Park/East Hanover Elks Club Lodge and the Order of the Son’s of Italy Padre Pio Lodge. He will be missed by all whom knew him.
Beloved husband of 65 years to Theresa (Mariano) Branca. Devoted father of Salvatore “Ricky” Branca and his wife Nancy. Cherished grandfather of Nicole Harris and her husband Jason. Proud great-grandfather of Joseph Albert and Juliana. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Doc is pre-deceased by his parents Salvatore & Lucy Branca and his brothers Joseph & Anthony Branca.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home 210 Ridgedale Ave., Florham Park on Friday from 4-8pm. Funeral on Saturday assembling at the funeral home at 10am followed by the funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 11am. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
