Michael J. Giordano, 83, of East Hanover, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2024, surrounded by family. The youngest of four children, he was born on March 13, 1940, in West Orange, New Jersey. Michael was a loving and caring individual who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Michael is survived by his wife, Marie Giordano; his sons, Michael Giordano, Jr., and Darren O’Neill; daughters-in-law, Carole Giordano, and Sharon O'Neill; grandsons, Michael Giordano and his wife Felicia, and Alexander O’Neill; and granddaughters, Samantha Giordano, and Olivia O'Neill. He was preceded in death by his son, David Giordano.
Michael attended West Orange High School and later served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960 where he was stationed in South Korea. After his military service, Michael pursued a career as a carpenter and became the proprietor of Custom Home Improvement. He was exceptionally skilled in his craft and took great pride in his work. In his free time, Michael enjoyed indulging in his hobbies of coin collecting, model trains, and winemaking. These activities brought him great joy and allowed him to relax and express his creativity.
Michael Giordano will always be remembered for his love, care, and dedication to his family, and his service to his country. May he rest in peace.
Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home, Inc., 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park on Friday from 3-7pm. Funeral on Saturday, assembling at the funeral home at 10am, followed by the burial and committal prayers at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at 11am.
