The Rummels were great neighbors and always helping us and other neighbors. The have always been like family. The Rummel family can be grateful that Will was in relatively good health until earlier this year and was always on the go and active in many things until last May. He also enjoyed a long retirement and he and Barbara were able to do a good amount of traveling. Will Rummel is another example of a member of the Greatest Generation contributing so much to society over the post-World War II era. RIP in Mr. Rummel.

The Rummels were our next door neighbors for more than 20 years when I was growing up. They were the best neighbors anyone could ask for. They were more like extended family members. Wil and Barbara were always there to help when anyone in our family needed anything. I can still picture Mr. Rummel and my dad on Saturdays working on their cars together. Wil and Barbara remained close friends with my parents after they moved until they passed away. My brother and I still treasure the many great times we had with the Rummel family. Our thoughts and prayers are with Barbara, Mark and Jeff. Rest in Peace, Wilbur Rummel.

Will and Barbara have been our neighbors for over 20 years. As Mrs. Pryer expressed so well, you could not ask for better neighbors. Will was always ready to extend a helping hand or watch our house when we were out of town. Both he and Barbara are the salt of the earth. Will never lost his childlike wonder and relished in the simple things in life. Our family will miss him very much. Our sincere condolences to his family.

On behalf of myself and members of the Florham Park Senior Citizens Club, I send our deepest sympathy to his wife, Barbara and family. Will contributed a lot to our organization.

What can I say. Will and Barbara have been my neighbors for 46 years. You could not ask for better neighbors. When I moved to Florham Park I had 5 small children so I was protective of our new neighbors. I should have known better. Barbara and Will greeted us with a small reception so we could meet our neighbors. They watched our children grow over the split rail fence that separated our properties. (Smokey was still around then.) When there was a new car in the Pryer family Will was right there to put his head under the hood to see what it was all about. He marveled at the 280Z and the firebird and the shiny black chevy and even the blue Gremlin. Always showing an interest in what was going on in the kids lives. He was always there to show Bill everything that he thought he knew how to do, but couldn't. He was a dear friend and we will all miss him. God bless you Barbara.
