Peter E. Bocage, 94, a long-time resident of Florham Park, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2017.

Beloved husband of the late Doris Bocage.  Devoted father of Megan McAllister, her husband Michael, Guy C. Bocage, Amy Esposito, her husband John, and the late Daria Bocage.  Cherished grandfather of Laura Kohl, Eric Bocage, Lindsey Kusior, John F. Esposito and Cara Esposito.  Loving great-grandfather of Ethan, Ava, Elise, Levi and Annabel.  Dear brother of the late Leo and Dorothy. He is survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews. 

Born in Newark, NJ to Marie and Emil Bocage, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.  He worked as a Certified Public Accountant for thirteen years, eventually moving to the New York office of Blyth Eastman Dillon & Co. where he became a Partner, Senior Vice President and Director of National Operations.

Peter served in the U. S. Army during World War II for three and a half years.  He was stationed in the South Pacific, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. 

Peter was happiest spending time with family and friends, traveling, and vacationing at the Jersey Shore.  He loved to swim, garden and enjoyed dining at his favorite restaurants.  He was a parishioner of Holy Family Church in Florham Park.  His eternal optimism and love of life were exemplary.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Donations in his honor can be made to St Joseph’s School for the Blind, 761 Summit Avenue, Jersey City, NJ or the Community Food Bank in Hillside, NJ.
