Nina Hecht Funeral and Memorial Service

July 20, 1928 – May 3, 2017

Nina Borisuk Hecht, age 88, of Chester, passed on to Glory on May 3, 2017.  She is survived by David, her husband of 57 years, three brothers, five children and twenty-four grandchildren.  Nina graduated from Houghton College and received her master’s degree from New York University.  She taught in the Cedar Grove and Millburn public schools until the birth of her first child.  Nina loved the vast array of God’s creation. Her life was marked by a spirit of thankfulness and blessing others.  She showed her love by volunteering her talents and gifts as she played piano at the Market Street Mission and Mendham Hills Community Church, made flower arrangements, cooked meals, and generously gave selflessly in innumerable ways throughout her life. Most of all, she shared her love for her Savior, Jesus Christ.  Thanks be to God!  He gives us VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ! (1 Cor. 15:57)

                                    Visitation on Friday, May 5, from 4 – 7pm at the Leonardis Memorial Home, 210 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park, NJ 07932. 

Friends and family are also invited to the graveside service to be held on Saturday, May 6 at 10:30 AM.  Restland Memorial Park is located at 77 Deforest Avenue, East Hanover, NJ.

A Memorial Service for Nina will be held on Friday, May 19th at 4 pm with a reception to follow.  The service and reception will be held at the Mendham Hills Community Church located at 480 State Route 24, Chester, NJ 07930.
