Mary Ann (Urso) Kapp

Mary Ann Kapp (Urso), 74, of Randolph, NJ, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2018. She was born on August 2, 1943 in Newark, NJ, to her loving parents, Peter and Angeolina (Julia Di Bartolomeo) Urso, who pre-deceased her. 

She graduated from East Side High School in Newark, NJ, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Newark State College (Kean University). Her passion was English and literature, and she cherished her earlier years as an educator at West Kinney Junior High School in Newark, NJ. She enjoyed reading, writing, painting, crossword puzzles, listening to music and spending time with her family and her many friends at Brightview in Randolph, NJ.

Mary Ann was a loving, proud and devoted mother to Michael J. Kapp, Jr. (wife Randi) and Lindsay M. Rocco (husband Adrian). She is survived by her cherished grandchildren Ashley, Megan and Dylan, her loving brother Paul Urso (wife Mary Eleanor), and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be at the Leonardis Memorial Home, located at 210 Ridgedale Avenue, in Florham Park, NJ, on Wednesday, February 14, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 15, assembling at 9 am at Leonardis, followed by a mass at Holy Family Church in Florham Park, NJ, at 10 am. Entombment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
