Mario Marrano, 78, of East Hanover, passed away peacefully in Italy on August 25, 2017.
Mario was born November 25, 1938 in Avellino, Italy. In 1959 Mario came to the United States and worked for C. Salvatore & Sons and later he worked for Marbro brothers. He was a parishioner at St. Rose of Lima church and belonged to the East Hanover Knights of Columbus. He always volunteered his time for the church and the Knights. He loved to visit his country in Italy, Picarelli, where he would spend every summer and would sit in the Piazza every day to talk to everyone. Destiny was that on August 25, 2017, when Mario passed away in his home town Picarelli, a place that he loved so much. At the time of his death he was surrounded by his family and friends.
Beloved husband of Anna. Devoted father of Jeanne Taylor, her husband Gregg, Annamarie Petrillo, her husband John, Mario Marrano, Jr., and his wife Gerardina Picarella. Cherished grandfather of Amanda, Gregg, Isabella GianPaolo, Sofia and Mario, who he loved more than anything.
