John Jarka, 75, long-time resident of Florham Park, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on November 5, 2017.  John worked as an actuary and was a partner of Consulting Brokers, Inc. in Chatham.  He was a member of the Society of Actuaries and enjoyed Broadway shows, dinners, and quality time spent with his family.

Beloved husband of 53 years to Marie Antoinette Jarka (Sellitto).  Devoted father of Anne Marie Jarka-Hajjar, her husband Dan, Jill Mills, her husband Matthew, Susan Haemmerle, her husband William, and Jennifer Jarka.  Cherished grandfather of Emily, Caroline, Daniel, Kiera and Greta.  Dear brother of the late Stanley Jarka.  Also survived by brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home 210 Ridgedale Ave. Florham Park on Wednesday from 3-7pm.  Funeral on Thursday assembling at 9:30am followed by a mass at Holy Family Church in Florham Park at 10:30.   A repast will immediately follow the funeral mass.  Burial will be private to the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice, or consider taking your family to dinner and a show by John’s request.
