Dear Marie,
We were deeply saddened to learn of John's passing. We were close friends at West Side HS and reconnecting with John, and meeting you, after 50 years was an unexpected joy. We will remember him as a generous man of grace, taste and refinement and extend our heartfelt condolences to you and your family.

To you, Marie and your family ... please know that you are in my heart, my thoughts and my prayers. I remember meeting John only a few times but those times are memories of kindness and love. I am sure that the Lord greeted John saying Come to me, my faithful servant. Blessings to you and your family as you take time to celebrate John's life and love for you and your family!!

Dear Marie, Jen, Jill, Susan and Anne Marie,
I'll never forget meeting you and John at that wine tasting dinner at Serenade. You were both so kind. If it hadn't been for you I might not have met and made friends with Jen but he knew we would! I'll never forget him.
With love,
Annie, Scott & Nate

Met John in High School. He was friendly to all who knew him. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. Although after High School I lost touch with John, it is just these past few years with the West Side luncheons that I came to know John again. He never changed, always pleasant to talk with. He will be missed.. Please accept my condolence for your loss.

John became a mentor and dear friend to Ron 30 years ago and quickly became a cherished member of our extended family. He was an incredibly generous man who had an unfailing desire to always do the right thing, whether it was for his family, friends or clients. We shared many memories and good times with him and Marie, whether it was at one of their favorite restaurants or at family events. While we will miss him, his humor, kindness and integrity will remain with us always. A life well lived for sure and a role model for all of us.

Big John was a man among men, and a gentle, kind and loving soul! He was a wonderful man, and the joy and love and generosity that he showed to all who knew him certainly lives on in each of his girls, and in each of their children. My heart breaks for you all, and of course for my dear Marie... I love you and your family as though you were my own, and I share in your heartbreak today. God bless you and your whole family at this time, and even though I cannot be there for you physically, know I am think of you all and sending lots of love and prayers your way.
