Antoinette Rosalie Galanti, 97, of Florham Park, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2017. 

Beloved wife of the late Leo Galanti.  Devoted mother of Michael J. Galanti, Sr. and his wife Paula.  Cherished grandmother of Christina Galanti Dickson, her husband Timothy, Jo Anna Galanti Fellon, her husband Brian, Michael Galanti and his fiancé Lindsey Paesano. Loving great-grandmother of Gregory Michael Dickson.  Also survived by many nieces, nephew and wonderful friends.

Antoinette was born on November 25, 1919 to Frederick and Clara Modugno.  She was the youngest of 5 girls.  On September 17, 1951 she married Leo Galanti and went on to have one son, Michael.  Antoinette graduated from East Orange High School in 1941, prior to entering nursing training and graduated from Newark Memorial Hospital, where she received her R.N.  She worked as a nurse for over 49 years at Columbus Hospital in Newark as head of the recovery room (a position unique to women at the time).  In 1992, Antoinette won the Marie Pescatore Award for nursing excellence. Later in life at the age of 77, she began a second career working as a food demonstrator at Kings grocery store in Florham Park.  She absolutely loved this job and was well known throughout Florham Park for it.  She touched many lives and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. 

Visitation at the Leonardis Memorial Home 210 Ridgedale Ave., Florham Park on Sunday from 1-4pm.  Funeral on Monday assembling at 9am followed by a mass at Holy Family Church in Florham Park at 10am.  Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
